Please Stop Losing Customers

A continuous follow-up system for prospects and customers is a crucial component of your marketing strategy because it keeps you in the top of their minds.

In this article I will cover how you can be losing customers by not having a follow-up system in place to maintain contact with them.

People are unlikely to purchase your service or product the first time they visit your website.  The standard conversion rate for is anywhere from 1 – 2%.  So if 100 visitors come to your website then only 1 or 2 will purchase.

Why is the conversion rate so low?

Well, simply most of the visitors don’t trust you enough yet to spend their money.

What can you do to gain their trust and in turn increase your conversions?

You have to implement a follow-up system on your website or commonly known as an auto-responder.

If you look at the majority of websites, they don’t have this in place. They let 99% of their visitors leave their website never to be seen again.

By not having an auto-responder most of your traffic is just thrown away.  This is a large waste of money and resources.

Instead of losing this large of amount of visitors and traffic, capture their contact information which will include their email address at a minimum.

Try to get more information if you can, but keep in mind that the more information you ask for, the lower the conversion will be.

By offering something of value for free in return for their contact information, you will capture anywhere from 10% to 50 % of your visitors.  Over the long run your conversion rates will increase and you will make more profit.

Another benefit is your will receive “repeat business” from your existing customers and this translates into a further increase in sales.

As you can see there are major benefits to having an auto-responder system in place.  Don’t follow the herd of other business websites by not acting on this simple strategy.
